How to Use Resurf® Accelerator

Typical Lot of Resurf® Resin Formulated for Spring/Summer/Fall Temperatures 


Sample 0 had no added accelerator: gelled in 28 minutes


Sample 1 had one capful accelerator well mixed in 5 gallons Resin: gelled in 15 minutes


Sample 2 had two capfuls accelerator well mixed in 5 gallons Resin: gelled in 10 minutes


Samples were run in duplicate at 65°F

Tools and Materials Needed

With each order we send you:

-Resurf® II aggregate blend in 0.5 cubic foot bags

-Resurf® resin in 5 gallon pails or 55 gallon drums (depending on size of order)

-Scribed 1 and 2 gallon pails for easy resin measuring
-500cc scribed catalyst bottle
-Faucet for drummed resin
-Resurf® resin catalyst
-Comprehensive training DVD

Tools needed for surface prep: 

-Hatchet, brick hammer and claw hammer for chipping and sounding loose concrete 

-Bush ax for cleaning out joint 

-Pneumatic or electric chipping hammers   

-Sand blaster (not shown) for cleaning the surface after chipping is complete 

Tools needed for mixing & finishing:

- Clean contractor wheelbarrow

- Sturdy garden hoe 

- Pointed shovel for mix distribution

- Square shovel for clean up

- Various lengths of 2x4 for tamps and screeds
